History
National Highway 67 runs from the port of Krishnapatnam on the Andhra coast, through Nellore, Proddatur and Tadipatri, into Karnataka at Ballari and on through Hosapete to Hubballi. It is an ore road: the iron ore of the Ballari region and the granite and cement of Rayalaseema move along it towards the ports. It also passes within a few kilometres of Hampi.
